We still had plenty of time and beautiful sun left to enjoy in the day, so we whipped out Greg’s iPhone and looked for something close by that we could enjoy. Coit Tower is .6 miles away from Boudin’s….Ohhhhhh that’s what that tower is that we’ve been seeing! (the tower on the left).

We may be from L.A. and don’t know the meaning of this new thing called walking to your destination…but I think we can handle that! So, we began our journey. Little did we know that half of that .6 was up a massive amount of stairs!!! The stairs were rough, but the scenery around them was beautiful. All along them were people’s houses (which made me think “These people must have the BEST asses!”), gardens, and little chill spots with benches and flowers.
[flickr size="small" float="left"]http://www.flickr.com/photos/40283535@N05/3705738871/[/flickr] We stopped at one chill spot (NOT because we were tired!) and were surrounded by this cute garden with big flower trees and tuns of dragonfly’s. Also, in the back of this beautiful garden was a random tiger made of stone hidden in the brush. It was so pretty (and random) I had to take a picture!
[flickr size="small" float="left"]http://www.flickr.com/photos/40283535@N05/3706549016/[/flickr] We left the garden and continued our journey up…more stairs! When we finally made it to the top we felt accomplished, and we were awarded with the amazing views all around us. As we walked around, we noticed there were a lot of people up here! Hey! that lady is wearing a skirt! And that man is way to old to have made it up all those steps! Oh, look at that…a bus! After attempting to ignore the fact that bus 39 would have been the easier way up, we explored the grounds of Coit Tower a bit more. For $5 you can go to the top of the tower. We opted not to do that because the FREE views were just as good. We could see down to Fisherman’s Wharf, the Bay Bridge, awesome city views, and pretty much all of San Francisco on this clear day.
So, if there is one lesson to teach from our journey to Coit Tower it’s FIND BUS 39! (which we happily took down the hill). Here are more of the pictures we took, including the beautiful views!
