Ok, maybe not quite JayZ, since I imagine him in a more sleek chrome and diamond encrusted estblishment. Maybe it’s more Britney Spears style since she seems to be a little more laid back like us (minus the whole going barefoot into a gas station bathroom thing…we aren’t that laid back).
Anyway, after we got sick of exploring the little islands off of Krabi…
Really, the only reason we got sick of that amazingness is because we were going to spend two nights in a luxury hotel, Britney style, with real showers with doors on them for our 1 year wedding anniversary. So I was pretty pumped!
We stayed at the Bandara Resort and Spa on Koh Samui Island and we basically sat under a private cabana by the enormous pool and drank pretty drinks and read our kindles for 2 days.
We did manage to walk to the beach (once) to eat at the resorts beachfront restaurant and stare at the calm blue water. It was tough work.
Greg had to drag me by my backpack out of the resort when the time quickly came to check-out. This might sound weird, but we decided not to explore more of Koh Samui so we could only have the amazing memory of our anniversary weekend lounging at the resort on this perfect paradise island. It made sense in our heads. So we hopped over to Koh Tao Island just a quick boat ride away. That night we slept here:
No aircon, no shower doors, and only 1 pillow for each of us (spoiled much!?). Also, that was the night I locked myself out in my underwear. I was not a happy camper. That is until we started exploring the island.
And enjoying the pretty sunsets
Greg got his Advanced Open Water Cert (just a few weeks after getting his Open Water Cert on Gili T)
So now he can explore all the beautiful deep blue ocean he wants.
While I enjoy it from above.
That little sliver of land is where I plan to retire one day: Ko Nang Yuan
That little island also has a really tall hill that we climbed and got this awesome view of Ko Nang Yuan and the Japanese Gardens which is the most insanely beautiful place to snorkel.
I also attempted to do trapeze while we were in Koh Tao, but I was absolutely horrible at it…
And felt like this for a week after.
But luckily we had lots of this to look forward to
So basically what I’m saying here is we loved island hoping in Thailand and we plan to enjoy and explore even more of it someday!
